Looking back: COLOURS Week 2025 - Collaboration for the future
From 24 to 28 June 2025, Paderborn University was transformed into a lively meeting place for ideas, exchange and innovation: students, researchers, teachers and partners from business, administration and civil society came together under the umbrella of the European University Alliance COLOURS to jointly shape key topics of the future.
For one week, everything revolved around sustainable communication, smart urban development, social change and practical insights into innovative companies. Whether in the intensive CoLab, at the creative hackathon, in open discussion formats or with a direct look behind the scenes of a growing future industry - COLOURS Week offered a wide range of opportunities to share knowledge, get to know new perspectives and establish networks.
The Highlights included:
- the CoLab ‘Communicating Green Transitions’, in which strategies were developed to communicate sustainability in an understandable and effective way,
- the public engagement event ‘Paderborn in Transition - Shaping the City of Tomorrow Together’, which brought citizens, city administration, science and business into dialogue with each other
- the field study ‘Exploring Four 20 Pharma’, which offered direct insights into the world of medical cannabis,
- and the student-led hackathon ‘Shape Your City’, which generated innovative ideas for urban spaces
