Good scientific practice
The freedom of science, research and teaching enshrined in the Basic Law is one of the fundamental rights of our society. Only through this guaranteed freedom is it possible to gain true knowledge, the driving force behind all endeavours in science. Inherent in this privilege is the requirement for integrity and credibility - the trust that society places in science is based on this.
In order to do justice to this trust, to maintain and sponsor it, Paderborn University is particularly committed to upholding good scientific practice.
As a framework, Paderborn University issued the "Guidelines and Procedures for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice at Paderborn University" in September 2021. This provides an overview of the principles of academic integrity and sets out the procedures for safeguarding them at our university.
