Transition to the Degree Program after the DSH Course

If you wish to begin your degree program after completing the DSH course, you must actively apply for the degree program through the International Office while you are still enrolled in the DSH course (during the intermediate or advanced level of the DSH course)! You will receive information and guidance about the internal application process during the DSH course.

Admission to the Degree Program

Application for the Degree Program

While attending the DSH course, active participants must apply for a study place via PAUL using their university account during the Intermediate Level II or Advanced Level. You will be informed about the application procedure as part of the DSH course program.

Current Study Programs

The complete list of study programs offered at the University of Paderborn can be found here:
Study Offer | Paderborn University

Please note that not all study programs are offered in the summer semester.

If "Uni-NC" is indicated next to a program, this means that there are admission restrictions. A limited number of study places are available, and a portion of these is allocated to international students based on the grades of their secondary school certificates. Admission is not guaranteed for these programs.

When you click on a study program, you will find the same structure each time. For example, you can check available academic advising options and view the specific admission requirements. Please read this information carefully!

Recognition of Previous Studies in Your Home Country

If you are applying for a subject that you have already studied in your home country, it may be possible to have your previous academic achievements recognized and begin your studies in a higher semester. If this applies to you, please contact the International Office as early as possible, but no later than January 15 / May 31.

You will be required to provide relevant documentation. In addition to transcripts and grade overviews, you must also submit module and program descriptions in German or English. You may also provide a link to the relevant page of the university where you completed your coursework.

Enrollment Documents

We will inform you individually after your application about which documents you need to present for enrollment at the International Office.

General information on enrollment can be found here.
