German Language Examination for University Admission (DSH Course)

Welcome to the DSH course page of the University of Paderborn!
Would you like to study in Paderborn and need to learn German for that? If you do not yet meet the language requirements for your desired degree program, the University of Paderborn offers you the opportunity to participate in an intensive language course to prepare for the German Language Examination for University Admission (DSH).
Our DSH courses begin at the start of the semester in April and October. Additionally, admitted applicants have the option to postpone the course start to January (if admitted for October) or July (if admitted for April), if needed.
The courses are conducted by the Center for Language Teaching (ZfS). Our experienced language instructors at the ZfS will support you step by step on your journey from level A2 to successful participation in the DSH exam.
Please note: Since October 2021, no A1-level courses are offered. Therefore, participants should have at least an A1-level knowledge of German.
All information about course schedules, exams, and holidays can be found on the pages of the Center for Language Teaching (ZfS).
As of 01.11.2024, you will find the Info Point of the International Office in the premises of the Service Center (Building B, Room B 0.140). There, you can also receive personal support and advice if needed.
