Award of status as junior research group leader
Recognition of the status of junior research group leader
With the career path of junior research group leader, Paderborn University enables young researchers with strong research skills to become independent at an early stage by independently leading a group. A junior research group leadership opens up a special, attractive development perspective for postdocs, which prepares them specifically for a lifetime professorship and makes this qualification visible to the outside world.
The status of junior research group leader is awarded at Paderborn University according to a standardised university process regulated by the statutes. The aim is to ensure a quality-assured position for junior research group leaders. The term junior research group leader may only be used at Paderborn University after the formal status has been recognised in accordance with these regulations.
If you have any questions regarding the recognition of the status of junior research group leader, please contact Ms Simone Hansmeier on 05251 60-2006.
