| Target group | This course is aimed at employees who have little or no knowledge of English and would like to improve their English skills. |

| Content | This is a general English course suitable for university staff who want to start learning English. We will work on all four language skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) using the Touchstone English course book at A1 level, which provides engaging texts, audios and exercises designed to motivate participants and build their confidence to communicate in English in everyday situations. The course can focus on the following (depending on the needs/wishes of the participants):

| Trainer | Mahynoor Schindel |
| Trainer?s background | Mahynoor Schindel has been a lecturer at the ZfS since 2024 and teaches English there. She has a BA in French from the University of Leeds, a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) from International House in London and is about to complete her MA in Applied Linguistics at the University of Birmingham. Born in the UK, she lives in Paderborn and has worked as an English teacher in adult education, running group and one-to-one classes for many years at various well-known local companies and VHS. Mahynoor has a passion for languages and is particularly interested in corpus linguistics and sociolinguistics. |
