A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare

The English Drama Group UPB proudly presents Shakespeare's classic comedy: “A Midsummer Night's Dream”.

Looking for star-crossed lovers on the run, a magical feud, a prank-loving goblin and a play-within-a-play so bad it’s brilliant? Come to our new play Shakespeare’s  A Midsummer Night’s Dream and step into the woods outside Athens, where nobody’s eyes agree with their hearts and sleep is very dangerous.
Duke Theseus is preparing to marry Hippolyta, while a young woman, Hermia, is ordered by her father to marry a man she does not love. Hermia and her lover, Lysander, run away into the forest, followed by Demetrius (who loves Hermia) and Helena (who loves Demetrius).
Deep in the forest, Oberon and Titania, the fairy king and queen, clash in a fierce quarrel about a changeling boy, and their discord throws the natural world into chaos. To punish Titania for her defiance, Oberon uses a magical flower to make Titania fall in love with the first creature she sees. His servant Puck is sent to find the flower and to also fix the lovers’ problems, but Puck being Puck mistakes the lovers and chaos ensues…
Meanwhile, a group of craftsmen rehearse a play in the forest, which sparks Puck’s mischievous curiosity a bit too much …
