Research Assistants (WHK) at the Paderborn University
Paderborn University employs research assistants (WHK) for academic services in research and teaching and related administrative activities.
Research assistants can work a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 19 hours per week in the faculties, academic institutions or operating units under the supervision of a university lecturer, another person with independent teaching duties or academic staff.
The prerequisite for employment as a WHK is the completion of a degree programme with a Magister, Diplom, accredited Master's degree or state examination.
The duties of the WHK are set out in Section 46 of the NRW Higher Education Act (HG).
The details of employment are governed by the internal university guidelines for the employment and remuneration of academic and student assistants at Paderborn University.
Please note:
Applications for employment as a WHK must be submitted electronically at least 6 weeks before the planned measure by the respective field to be recruited via the official channels to the following e-mail address: Dez4_2@zv.uni-paderborn.de.
Once the relevant application has been received, the recruitment procedure will be carried out by the Human Resources Department - Section 4.2.
A position as WHK may only be taken up once a written employment contract has been concluded.
The agreements required in this context are to be made exclusively with the Personnel Department - Subject Area 4.2 exclusively.
